A year on the road.........

I'm hanging up the virtual bunting and eating cyber cake today as this week it will be a year since Teawagontales and littleteawagon hopped on the road for the very first time.......the banner has changed about twenty times, so has the avatar and the layout... but the intention has stayed the same...crafting, making, crochet, colour, finding, sharing, a few laughs and new friends :-)
So to celebrate and to say "thank you" for hopping on with me ........a giveaway.....

It comprises of

* a cute little notepad with recycled paper

* a littleteawagon make your own bunting kit (20 vintage fabric pennants + binding + label)

* a set of 6 cute coloured crochet hooks ranging from 2.5mm - 5mm in size

* a little mushroom bird ready to pop onto any little birdy project you may be working on

Any one, anywhere can enter, overseas, outer space....and the comments will be open for a week after which a winner will be picked at random (name in hat kind of thingy) don't forget to leave a name and a way for me to contact you :-)
and for a question ......well I always think it's nice to find a little bit more about you all so

*Who do you look like??????? if you don't look like anyone then who would you like to look like?..the funnier the better .....

Who do I look like???....... well apart from my roll model of course.................Robert Smith (from the Cure) and I really do :-) :-):-)

Good luck

Sweet little Camille.....

Some things are too cute to keep to yourself........
so tiny and intricate and pretty is this.... from a lovely shop on etsy
She is called Camille and she lives in a little matchbox with her cuckoo clock :-)

She sits on my desk and every now and then I take her out and marvel at her sweetness.....
Hope you're having a good week, Happy Thursday

Climbing back on the wagon........

...when technology lets you down and your sewing machine plays up and the car makes funny noises and blogger starts behaving like a naughty two year old and its all a bit *bobbins*... the best thing you can do is bury your head in a pile of lovely colours and hopefully when you pop your head out again after a week or so..it all sorts itself out :-) and you might have a nice blanket to show for your troubles

Yesterday... the other Jane and I had a lovely little day trip to my home town Leeds, I'd forgotten how much I love that city, even though it's only and hour away I don't get back that often, we had such a nice day and came home with little bags bursting with ribbons, wool, fabrics, treats for the boys and Arnie and big smiles on our faces :-)

This is one of my favourite sights, the Ivanhoe clock in a sweet Victorian arcade...we stood and watched it chime on the hour many times when I was a little girl (I don't think I noticed back then how short the mens 'skirts' were!)

So hopefully I'm back on the wagon now and looking forward to catching up with you all :-)

Next week it will be year since I started this blog and littleteawagon so I am planning a little giveaway to celebrate all the bad spelling and punctuation I've notched up :-)

Have a lovely week

P.S *bobbins* is an excellent word, I think made up in Manchester meaning 'rubbish'.... it's such a great description and I say it often, even when things aren't very *bobbins

This week I have been mostly.......blowing up balloons..

I managed to keep the flags flying for another few days due to a birthday.... our #1 was 10 on Tuesday, I can't believe it and I think he was rather embarrassed by all the fuss I was making...10!!!...double figures..nearly a teenager..and so on... goodness knows what I'll be like when he turns 18!!
So its been a Lego filled week of presents and cake as with most birthdays these days they are spread out among family, friends and school...

We went to a lego exhibition in the Science Museum on monday, they had made a giant Westminster Abbey complete with bride and groom and guests...

(much panic from me when he asked for his favourite Lego figure in a cake) thank goodness for that funny icing that's like playdoh :)
Another day off school today .. but again the sun is shining and its peaceful here as the boys are at the cinema with their Dad so I'm hoping to catch up on a few things and enjoy the silence.....
Happy Thursday x x x x
